They can throttle more and more of these golden tickets as stress testing and server loadbearing is needed. They have unlimited keys to give, but if everyone that bought diablo 2 had a key, it's no longer the golden ticket, and therefore no longer valuable in building hype. Everybody wants the hottest ticket in gaming town. ![]() It just so happens that having a beta key became the golden ticket in the chocolate bar, and when their marketing teams realized that, it's fuckin twitter contest time. So that's where the individual invites come from. But, it's a beta, and they need specific rigs to test on. If it were a gimme to the fans, that's a demo.
